About AppBooking

AppBooking is an independent catalogue of Android apps and games. For each app we publish the store facts that matter, a short write-up of what the app is for, and a side-by-side comparison with the closest alternative in its category.

Where our information comes from

The factual parts of every app page come from that app's public Google Play listing: the developer name, category, star rating, install band, content rating and price. We record those figures as published by Google Play and attribute them as such. Icons and screenshots belong to the developers and are shown for identification.

How the write-ups are produced

Each write-up is prepared by our editorial team from the developer's own description of the app, its store listing, and publicly available information about the category. We describe what an app offers, who it suits, and the limitations that are commonly reported.

We want to be straightforward about the limits of that method: our write-ups are research summaries, not laboratory tests. We do not claim to have run every app on a test device, and you should not read our pages as certified performance testing. Where we are unsure of a detail, we leave it out rather than guess.

What we do not do

We do not host application files on our servers. We are not affiliated with Google, Apple, or any developer listed here, and no developer pays for coverage or placement. Ratings shown on our pages are Google Play's numbers, not scores we assign.

How the site is funded

AppBooking is supported by advertising, which is kept visually separate from editorial content. Advertisers have no say in which apps appear or what the write-ups say.

Corrections

App listings change constantly. If something here is out of date or wrong, tell us through the contact page and we will check it against the current store listing and correct it.
