Editor's Review
Action is a Dutch non-food discount chain, and this app exists mainly to answer the question its shoppers actually have: what is in the weekly offer, and has it reached my store. Stock turns over fast and much of the range is one-off, so the leaflet is effectively the product.
That leaflet is the centre of everything here. New offers land each week, notifications tell you when, and you can search an item to see its price and where it sits in the range. A store locator gives addresses and hours, while a shopping list lets you save what you want before setting off. It is a browse-then-visit tool, organised around a trip rather than a checkout.
A 4.2 average from more than ten million installs is the score a retailer app earns when it works but occasionally frustrates. Availability shown in the app is an indication, not a promise, and turning up for an advertised item that sold out on the first morning is a familiar experience with this sort of chain. The app is also only meaningful in the European countries where Action trades.
