Editor's Review
Czech shoppers know Alza as the default place to buy a laptop, a phone or a washing machine, and the app carries that catalogue onto Android with the retailer's own delivery network attached. It behaves as a straightforward shopping client: search, filters, product pages with specifications and buyer questions, a basket, and tracking that follows a parcel from warehouse to collection point.
Delivery is what separates it from a generic store app. AlzaBox parcel lockers are scattered across the country, and the app handles choosing one, receiving the collection code and opening the box when you arrive. Branch collection and courier delivery sit alongside that, with stock displayed per location so you can tell whether something is available today rather than next week.
Alza also sells refurbished and second-hand stock, surfaced with its own condition grading, and it runs frequent time-limited discounts that arrive as notifications. Those alerts are aggressive out of the box and worth trimming on the first day.
The 4.27 average across a million installs describes an app that works without being loved. Recurring complaints concern search that struggles with loose queries, a home screen crowded with promotions, and friction when a return has to be arranged. Outside central Europe there is no reason to install it, since pricing, delivery and the interface are built for the Czech and Slovak markets.
