Editor's Review
Two jobs sit inside the Eventbrite App, and it handles them at different levels. The first is discovery: browsing what is happening nearby, filtering by date, category, price or distance, and following organisers you keep returning to. The second is ticket storage, and that is the part most people open the app for.
Tickets: anything bought through Eventbrite, on the phone or on the web, lands here with its QR code ready to be scanned at the door. Codes still work once the ticket has loaded and the signal has gone, which matters at basement venues and festival fields. Order history, refund requests and transfers run from the same screen.
Discovery: quality depends entirely on your city. Somewhere with a busy independent scene turns up workshops, comedy nights, classes, supper clubs and community meet-ups. Somewhere smaller thins out fast, leaving a handful of listings that repeat week after week.
The 4.87 average is among the highest in the entertainment category, which fits an app that mostly gets out of the way. One thing catches people out: this is the attendee side only. Running your own event and scanning guests through the door needs Eventbrite's separate organiser app.
