Chain restaurant apps are judged on a short list: can you find your local branch, build an order without fighting the menu, and pay without the app losing the basket. Applebee's handles that list competently, which is roughly what a 4.12 average from a million installs describes.
You pick a restaurant, browse the menu with the customisations the kitchen actually supports, and choose takeout, curbside handover or delivery where the location offers it. Group ordering, saved favourites and repeat-last-order are present, and the app carries the chain's rewards programme along with the promotional deals that rotate through the year. Gift cards can be stored and applied at checkout.
Two limits matter before installing. This is the app of a United States restaurant chain, so it is of no use to anyone living where those restaurants do not trade. And like most ordering apps built on a third-party platform, it leans on individual franchise locations to keep menus, hours and prices current, which they do unevenly. When a branch has stale data the app looks broken even though the software is fine.

Only where the chain has restaurants. The app locates branches near you, and with none in range there is nothing to order from.
Do I need an account to order?
Ordering generally requires signing in so the restaurant can attach the order and the payment to you. An account is also what holds the rewards balance and any saved gift cards.
