BAUHAUS runs large DIY and garden warehouses across German-speaking Europe and beyond, and this is the retail app attached to that business. Its usefulness is the ordinary kind: a searchable catalogue of an enormous range, price and stock information for a specific branch, the current offers, and the account side of things, meaning orders, receipts and a customer card that no longer has to live in a wallet.
The value shows up in the aisle rather than on the sofa. Standing in front of a rack of fittings, scanning a barcode to see the price, checking whether another branch holds the size you actually need, and finding what else in the range fits together, all save a second trip. A list built at home and pulled up in store does the same job from the other direction.
The 4.43 average is respectable for a retailer app. The limitation is that it remains one: it is bound to BAUHAUS stores and to the countries where the chain trades, the interface is built for German-speaking customers, and what it shows on screen is no substitute for stock that is genuinely on the shelf.
