Editor's Review
Who it is for:
congstar is a German mobile brand running on Deutsche Telekom's network, and this is its self-service app. The audience is exactly one group: people already holding a congstar contract or prepaid SIM. Nobody else has a reason to install it.
What it handles:
Routine account business. How much of the monthly data allowance remains, topping up prepaid credit, booking or cancelling extras such as additional data packs, switching tariff options, opening invoices and checking contract details. Doing any of that here beats waiting in a telephone queue, which is the whole argument for a carrier app.
Reservations:
A 4.12 average across 5M+ installs is respectable rather than glowing, and self-service apps from network operators usually lose their points in the same places: login trouble after a password change, usage counters that lag hours behind reality, and functions that quietly hand you off to a web page. This one is also built for the German market with a German interface, which makes it impractical for anyone who does not read the language.

Questions people ask
Do I need to be a congstar customer?
Yes. Without a contract or prepaid SIM there is nothing to log into, and the app has no standalone function.
Is the app available in English?
It is built for the German market and the interface is in German, so expect to read German throughout.
